This week, Sebastian Fuentes (LNH 2021) is in to Chicago as one of New Hampshire’s 25 delegates to the Democratic National Convention. The Political Director of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, Sebastian is skilled in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive political campaigns, has proven expertise in coalition building, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis, and is committed to navigating complex political landscapes and delivering impactful results in the fields of immigration, housing, healthcare, and climate.

Outside of his formal work, Sebastian serves as a Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion Advisor for Volunteer NH.

What is a lesson that you recently learned from your professional or community work that you would like to share with other alumni?

"The power of coalition building in New Hampshire is important. In the world of politics, for example, I have to know about many topics and be updated frequently about policies and how those will affect peoples' lives. I will be honest to say that I don't know it all. But I can say that most of insights I obtained from former LNH alumni have changed lives. My class alone had housing advocates, mental health workers, legislators, medical professionals. The amount of knowledge and support that I received is remarkable. Don't be afraid to reach out! We are here for you."
