LNH Executive Director to Retire

At Leadership New Hampshire’s first board meeting of the new program year, Executive Director Stephen Reno announced plans to retire.  Dr. Reno will step down in June 2024 as the LNH Class of ’24 graduates. 

Dr. Reno will be completing 14 years as executive director, almost half the life of the organization that graduated its first class in 1993.  LNH currently numbers more than 1,100 alums. 

“It has been a singular honor to have been part of an organization the mission of which is to build a community of informed and engaged leaders, a mission that is critically important, especially today, to the quality of life in our state and beyond,” Dr. Reno said.  Prior to his service at LNH, Dr. Reno was Chancellor of the University System of New Hampshire.

“Steve Reno’s influence on our state by leading Leadership New Hampshire has been sustained and profound,” said Byron Champlin, chair of the board of trustees.  “Many of our state’s emerging and established leaders have had their worldview shaped by Steve’s calm, empathetic and inclusive perspective, not to mention his deep knowledge of public policy and the challenges and opportunities facing the Granite State.  We owe him our gratitude.”

The board of trustees also welcomed three new members at its September meeting:  Sally Kraft, M.D., Vice President, Community Health, Dartmouth Health; Karinne Jervis, M.D., Associate Medical Director, Perioperative Services, Dartmouth Health; and Joshua Reap, President & CEO, Associated Builders and Contractors.
